Stanley Consuegra's artistic work is an exploration of and experimentation with the human memory. He finds the whole process of memory very interesting; the sensory part as well as the cognitive one. The episodic memory catches his attention in a very special way because it reveals complex personal elements of our lives, and in certain way it shows who we are. Consuegra uses imaginary backgrounds with cross-linked memory fragments, highlighting some elements in order to create a dialogue with the viewer. The images unconsciously register into his own memory, triggering his personal experiences and associations, leaving his interpretation open to suggestion.
